Procedures / Protocols & Requirements

• Students must acquire a valid NYS CDL permit and DOT physical BEFORE attending their first BTW (Behind The Wheel) training
• Students must present their permit for EVERY BTW training session
• Additional lessons will be $250 per lesson and must be prepaid.
• If you No Call / No Show or Cancel within 24 Hours of your lesson time, there will be a $100 cancel fee or loss of lesson.
• NO REFUNDS will be given unless there is a medical issue confirmed by a doctor along with a doctor’s note.

Class Duration and Scheduling Times

All Behind the Wheel (BTW) classes are One-on-One, and lessons are 1½ hours.

Your first lesson will be setup by the office staff / CDL director, and subsequent lessons will be scheduled directly by your instructor.

Class Hours Are:

Monday – Friday: 7:30am – 7:30pm
Saturday: 7:30am – 3:00pm

Class A

• 34 hours over the program
  • Plus two NYS Road Tests (if needed)

Class B

• 18 hours
  • Plus two NYS Road Tests (if needed)

(ELDT) Theory Classes

These classes are performed online, at your own pace.

We suggest completing this quickly, as it will help you understand the information and maneuvers during BTW training sessions.

These classes must be completed before a road test can be scheduled.
